SABRINA
Recently one morning, while staying at the hospital with my daddy, I went to the cafeteria to get some breakfast. I was concerned, tired, and not in the best frame of mind. As I am standing trying to decide what I might want to eat, I hear someone whistling the children's tune “This is the Day that the Lord Has Made.” I looked around to see where it was coming from. It was from a gentleman standing at the drink machine. I went to him and told him that I wanted him to know he had helped to begin and put my day in perspective with his song. I thanked him and went on up to pay for my meal…at which time I find it has been paid for.
The kind gentleman, who I did not and still do not know…made a huge difference and impact both on my day…and my life…A small kindness with a forever impact. He was truly being the voice, hands, and feet of Jesus that morning. It reminds me of the verse I so love in Genesis
12:1-3 where God reminds Abraham “you have been blessed to be a blessing.” I have been blessed…now it is my turn to be a blessing. I know, first hand, the world would be a much different place at sunset this evening if we chose to be a blessing to just one person today…and to do it to someone to whom we do not know. I think I will try it. Won't you join me? Have a BLESSED day and BE a blessing!

BOB RAMBO
Recently my wife Susie and I went to see The Help - the movie about well-to-do white women in the 1960s and the black women who worked as their maids. In particular, the movie focuses on the relationship between a young white woman who wants to be a writer and the black maid who tells her what life is like from the maid's point of view.
These two women RISK a lot - because in those dark days from our past, such interaction between races was NOT ACCEPTABLE, even ILLEGAL. But as they open up to each other, they forge a relationship that TRANSFORMS both of them.
Something like this happens when we welcome God into our lives. God is constantly reaching out to us - and when we open up our lives and invite God to come in - we begin to experience a relationship with God.
The Apostle Paul wrote If anyone is in Christ, they become a new person. The old passes away and they become new.
Today, may you experience God's presence that can transform us and make us “new”.

Good Morning!
I am Wesley Pepper the Pastor of Mission and Evangelism at Central UMC. Today I would like to tell you about a wonderful program that we have at Central designed to help people over come addiction.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered and Bible-based 12-Step Recovery Program. The purpose is to focus on God's healing power through fellowship with others.
By working the 12 Steps and the 8 Beatitude Principles, groups open up, share experiences, and explore hope. In this way, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our problems.
Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday night at 6pm at Central UMC. It is our sincere wish that you would come and share in this community of healing.

JIM WALL
Good Morning!
Playing the game of life to the fullest requires taking a risk. Without risk, life has little emotion, little that can be counted as exhilaration or fulfillment.
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk exposing one's true self.
To place ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk ridicule.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
And yet, the person who risks nothing…does nothing, has nothing, and ultimately does nothing.
It was a risk for Peter to get out of the boat and walk on the water to Jesus. Do you need to take a risk?

Good Morning:
Are you one of those people who have multiple personalities? By that I mean, are you one person around your family, but an entirely different person with your co-workers, your friends or even perfect strangers?
I'm afraid there are a lot of us who are guilty of this. St. Frances of Assisi once said this: “Who you are before God is who you are and nothing else.”
So, it doesn't really matter who you are before your family, your friends, your co-workers or even strangers. What matters is what God sees in you. What kind of person would you be standing before God? Just something to think about! Let's try harder to be that person with everyone we meet. Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning!
The other day when I was driving home from work listening to the news, a report came on about a mail carrier delivering mail on his route when a small, but loud barking dog proceeded to rush at him with visions of a leg sandwich. Before he knew it, the mail man had scooped the dog up by his back leg and threw him over a short fence into his owner's back yard. Of course, the focus of the story was the lawsuit filed by the dog's owner for abuse.
Now I don't condone cruelty of any kind; animal or human, but I do see an interesting application to this story.
The devil has a lot of believers running scared as he barks and snarls out his threats when the Word plainly states that when we resist him, he will flee. The word flee means to “run in terror.” Why not start the weekend off right by putting the devil on the run today!

BOB PEDEN
This is Bob Peden of Central United Methodist Church. This morning, let's think about what being a Christian means that you do. For yes if you believe and trust in Jesus Christ there are some actions that naturally follow. In 60 seconds or less - First, do what Jesus did. Treat people the way Jesus treated them. Connect to God like Jesus did. Live like Jesus lived. Walk in his steps.
Second, don't do what Jesus did not do. Get the things out of your life that are not like Jesus. Eliminate wrong relationships, damaging attitudes, and hurtful actions. If Jesus would not be that way, don't do it.
Third, tell everyone about Jesus. Share the story of what God has done thru Jesus. Tell how he has changed your life. Invite them into a relationship with him.
That's it. That's my list. We make a series of choices everyday based on the relationship we have with Jesus. Will you follow Jesus today?
