SABRINA One of my very favorite praise songs is from years ago. “His Strength is Perfect.” The chorus goes, “His strength is perfect when our strength is gone. He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on. Raised in His power, the weak become strong. His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect.” It is based on 2 Corinthians 12:9. “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” You see, fear and weakness have a nasty way of lying to us. That’s because it removes God from the equation, causing us to envision a scenario where God does not show up and that will simply never be the case. We have to grab hold of this promise in our marriage, work lives, parenting, even the moments when it’s hard to pick up our heads off our pillows. We must tell ourselves the truth. God’s power in our lives never fails, is always there, and is more than sufficient. Whatever today holds, remember - His strength is perfect!
