BOB PEDEN

This is Bob Peden of Central United Methodist Church. The Holy Spirit is perhaps the least talked about, least known, most misunderstood of the three co-equal, co-eternal, persons of the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit fills us with the power of faith, fills us with the great Love of God, gives us wisdom, and abundant grace, innocent purity, and everlasting peace. The Holy Spirit takes possession of ourselves, our bodies which are the temple of God, our minds, our wills, our souls, when we submit ourselves to God's presence. It is the Holy Spirit, which brings us the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and helps us to shine his light where there is darkness, brings his peace and joy where there is unhappiness, and teaches us to glorify Jesus by becoming His instruments of love.

It is through the Holy Spirit, the one we almost never mention, that we experience the healing and saving power of God for our lives.
