GLENDA

Good Morning:

Today, as you all know, is Independence Day. Today honors the birthday of the United States of America and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. All over the United States, it's a day of picnics and patriotic parades, a night of concerts and fireworks, and a reason to fly the American Flag. It's a day to say “I'm proud to be an American”.

Many members of our church will be joining with other members of our community by supporting the City's festivities planned for tonight. The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. at Bonita Lakes. There will be a concert at 7:00 p.m. and a wonderful fireworks display at 9:00. Best of all, it's free. It's a perfect time to spend with your family. So, pile your family into your car and come on out. Let's join together to say “Happy Birthday, America!”
