JOHN

Good Morning! I’m John Branning, Lead Pastor of Central United Methodist Church. Jesus walked up to the fisherman and said, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. They dropped their nets and followed him.

He met a woman at a well and said, Follow me and you will never be thirsty again. She dropped her bucket and ran to get all of her friends.

History repeatedly has shown that people hunger for something larger than themselves. In fact the idea of having a higher purpose is a vital ingredient to the human psyche. The reason that this exists in all of us is because we have been created with a divine mark upon us. We long for something more. We hunger for relationships that will bring meaning and purpose.

Jesus told his disciples that he had come to change people’s lives to fill the void within them and to give them the direction that they were longing for. I hope that you have found the higher purpose for God created you, and if you are still searching, then I invite you to continue your journey with us at Central and together we will follow the one that calls us to be fishers of people.
