John Maxwell, noted author on American Leadership and management recently said, “In hundreds of interviews with people at all levels, I’ve made this discovery; The higher ranking the person, the more apt he is to encourage you to talk; the lower ranking the person, the more apt he is to preach to you.
Management monopolizes the listening; the rank and file monopolize the talking!”
There is a reason God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth. Good leaders are great listeners, as are good friends. Are you more concerned with hearing or being heard?
