Good morning! Today is All Saints Day the day we celebrate the lives of all of God=s saints. This
Sunday at Central United Methodist Church, as in many churches, we will light candles and ring the
bells for those saints of our church who have gone on to heaven within the last year. We will also light
candles for those saints who have joined our congregation in the last year. And we will celebrate the
sainthood of us all.
For you see, the definition of a saint is not Aa dead Christian.@ Rather the definition of a saint is a
faithful, living Christian. We are all saints who believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and are
trying to live into his will for our lives. So, there are saints in heaven and there are saints here on earth,
and together we join with the angels in singing the praises of our God.
Join us this Sunday to be a part of that celebration at either 8:30 or 10:55. Oh, and don=t forget to move
your clock back an hour.
