“Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to
salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.” 1 Peter 2:2-3
Joe McKeever, the famous New Orleans cartoonist, once said he would not sketch babies when he was
doing caricatures. It wasn't that he had anything against babies but that life had not touched them yet
to the point that there was a significant difference one infant from another. They just weren't
“remarkable” in their definition.
I wonder how many of us never go beyond our “baby Christian” stage and go to heaven in an
“unremarkable stage” one no different than the other? Never realizing the incredible plans God has for
each and every one of us!
