DENNIS

Good Morning. This Sunday, June 15, is a very special Sunday because it is Father’s Day. And as the world celebrates fatherhood, let’s spend a few moments reflecting on what a father is like. Some of you will have a positive image of a father, because you had a loving dad. There are some who will have a negative image, because your dad was mean and abusive. Still, there are others who do not have any image of a father at all, because there was not one around.
Regardless of any of the experiences you or I had with a father, there is the One who is the Ultimate Dad. He is the Creator who loves all His children, and wants only the best for each of them. Honestly, we all need this Father in order to grow up and into our created purpose. This Father wants all earthly fathers to model themselves after Him, so there will be a rising up of real men and women. Men, we must learn from our true Father about how to honestly provide for our families and to protect and teach our children how to live a life of integrity.
Imagine what it would be like if all men started imitating God, taking care of their children, and taking the fatherless under their wings. This is Dennis Gossett saying, “Thanks Dad!”
