BOB RAMBO

Hi!  I'm Bob Rambo, Lead Pastor at Central United Methodist Church.

This Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D. C.  Many of us can remember where we were when we became aware that something terrible was taking place.  I was leaving my house when the news first began to break of a plane crashing into the World Trade Center.  We would soon learn that four domestic airliners were being hijacked and used by terrorists as guided missiles to strike the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.  Over 3000 people died in those attacks.

Since that day, our nation has been at war in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Though there has not been another successful attack on American soil, there have been numerous attempts.

This Sunday at Central, we'll remember September 11th and as part of our current sermon series, we'll wrestle with the question of evil and why bad things happen to good people.

If you don't have a place to worship, I invite you to join us this week at Central - where everyone is welcome.
