BOB RAMBO

Hi!  I'm Bob Rambo, Lead Pastor at Central United Methodist Church.  For the past few weeks, we've watched as the stock market has gone up one day and down the next - either raising hopes OR sending people into depression.

As the market has surged and retreated, people have been left feeling vulnerable and at the mercy of forces beyond their control.  Many people are anxious, uncertain about what the future holds.  Some are even fearful.

This is a good time for us all to remember that our hope is not in our stocks and bonds.  Our hope is not in our IRAs or our CDs.  Our hope is in Jesus Christ, who came to show us in a real and tangible way how much God loves us.  Jesus tells us that because God loves us so much, we can trust God whatever life may bring.

So today - no matter what the market does, God is with us.  God has promised to be with us and to provide for our needs.  So DO NOT BE AFRAID.

Have a great day!
