JIM CAIN

GOOD MORNING and Happy Labor Day!

“Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14

Back in the time when Scripture was being recorded, farmers would yolk together a team of oxen to plow a field. If one ox was stronger than the other, it would pull the plow off in the wrong direction. In order to keep the plow straight a farmer had to pair together oxen of equal strength.

If we get paired with the wrong person, we can get pulled off track too. Whether it be in our work or our personal relationships, it is important that we be sure to yolk ourselves with friends of like faith and convictions.
