Wesley

Good Morning!

I am Wesley Pepper Pastor of Mission and Evangelism at Central UMC. I am reminded this day of a wonderful story from John Chapter 11 where Jesus does the impossible. It is true that in the past and present that miracles have often drawn people to Christianity.

In this story, Jesus raises his best friend, Lazarus, from the dead. However, there are two other events that occur in this Gospel Lesson that are equally as important.

In the midst of raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus instructs his companions at the graveside to roll the giant stone away that blocks the entrance of the tomb. Jesus could have performed another miracle to shatter the stone yet he chose to use the people who were present to help restore Lazarus.

I believe that God wants to use us to help bring miracles into the lives of those around us. Maybe today you will be a part of helping someone find their miracle.
