Have you ever volunteered to help someone with a project…and then as time progresses, you are suddenly told you are not doing it correctly, not in the way the person you are helping thinks it should be done? Why did they ask for help in the first place???
Do you ever think about the fact that we do God exactly the same way? We ask for His help in our lives, then want to continue to be in control of the situation. We cry out to God…then wrestle the control from him...particularly if we do not feel that God's presence in our lives is working out the way WE planned.
Isaiah 26:3-4 reminds us…”You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever.”
Don't miss God's peace in your life. Place your trust, comfort and peace in God…then let go…it is a wonderful feeling to not always have to be in control.
