Good morning! This is Bob Peden of Central - A United Methodist Community
in downtown Meridian.
Our world is broken. Anger simmers beneath the pervasive hurt.
Hope is a dying ember quickly turning to ash for untold numbers of people.
Despair reigns in the hearts of people who feel pushed aside and left behind
because of their visible wounds and their perceived deficiencies.
Each broken heart needs the personal touch of Jesus. Each heart caught in the
grip of despair needs the touch of a friend who makes the loving touch of Jesus
real to them. Did you realize that you can be that friend who makes the loving
touch of Jesus real to someone who need his healing touch desperately?
As you move through this broken world, do not be looking for ways that the
world hurts you, rather, be looking for those other souls who need Jesus’ touch
in their lives. I promise you will be touched as well.
