Have you gotten to the point that you feel you can’t continue? Sometimes this is
because of legitimate, strenuous tasks, but more often than not, it happens when
we try and handle life’s responsibilities in our own strength. We keep working
and pushing - feeling that if WE fail, everything will fall apart. We trust
ourselves for success rather than God.
One of my favorite Christian groups is Selah. They have a song and the words
go like this:
“When the valley is deep
When the mountain is steep
When the body is weary
When we stumble and fall
When the choices are hard
When we're battered and scarred
When we've spent our resources
When we've given our all
In Jesus' name, we press on
In Jesus' name, we press on”
We only need to turn to the one who can re-energize and give us strength. So this
morning, in Jesus’ name, be filled with His wisdom, His strength, and be
empowered for the day ahead! Press On!
