BOB PEDEN

Christmas is a season for music. The gospels, particularly the Gospel of Luke, include many songs. We hear the Song of Mary in the home of Elizabeth, John the Baptist's mother. We hear the Song of Zachariah, John's Father, when John is presented in the temple. We think of the angels singing their message from the heavens. We hear the song of Simeon when Jesus is presented in the temple.

Yes Christmas is the season for music. At Central United Methodist Church this Sunday music will dominate both the 8:30 and 10:55 worship services. At 8:30 the Praise Band will lead the service in contemporary Christian songs of the birth of Christ and at 10:55 the Sanctuary Choir will lead us in a service of scripture lessons and Christmas carols.

This is Bob Peden of Central United Methodist Church. You are always welcome at Central, but this would be a very good Sunday to come enjoy an entire morning of beautiful, exciting Christmas music. I look forward to seeing you here.
