Good Morning!
What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
“What a Friend We Have in Jesus” is one of our favorite songs, as it reminds us that Jesus is always with us, He is always listening, and is forevermore carrying our burdens. The only problem is that we sometimes try to do it all on our own, and we forget that nothing is possible without God, but with Him, anything is possible.
Jesus says, “My Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.” -John 16:23.
Why not practice today giving God all of your worry, doubts, and fears? He can ease our minds and give us the comfort we need to go about doing His good and perfect will, without having to carry around all of that extra weight on our shoulders. What needless worry we bear when all we have to do is give it to God.
