BOB PEDEN

Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright. We sing it every year. But can we live it? Can we cease our frantic pace long enough to stop and notice the birth of the peasant – king. Can we slow down for just a little while to worship the Creator of the Universe.

This is Bob Peden of Central United Methodist Church in downtown Meridian. This Christmas Central offers four opportunities for you to do just that. This Saturday, Christmas Eve, you are encouraged to join with others in hearing the carols of Christmas, the stories of Christmas and celebrating the grace of God, born into our world, through Holy Communion. You are welcome at any one of our services 1 pm, 3 pm or 5pm.

You are all also invited to a time of informal worship Sunday, Christmas Day, at 10:00 am. What better way to celebrate the birth of God’s son than to sing His songs, Hear His stories, and Praise him in spirit and truth. Come on, Let Us Adore Him, Christ the Lord.
