SABRINA

I have a friend who has a recipe for after Christmas soup.

You boil your turkey carcass, then add your leftover dressing, vegetables, casseroles, meats, gravies and pastas. Anything but the sweets! It may not sound very appetizing, but what would be small useless portions of food are transformed into a warm delicious comfort meal.

In the days following Christmas, looking at a dead tree, family
having returned home, we often find ourselves feeling let down and useless, somewhat like the leftovers in the refrigerator. Just like the leftovers, we too have a purpose.

I invite you to join us at 10:00 this Sunday morning to welcome the new year in worship, finding love, comfort and restoration in God’s love.  The simple process of coming together in love and fellowship as we continue to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child allows us to take to fragmented pieces of ourselves and lift up wholeness as we welcome in 2012.  We hope to
see you Sunday.

Have a blessed day.
