SABRINA

When you listen to the sound of my voice, most of you
understand what I am saying. We share the same
language. We know the same words.

From birth most of us use language to communicate.
Words are common, yet vital to our lives. Words are
important. Sometimes, however, we use words carelessly.
We misuse words we don’t understand. We say things we
should not to people we love.  Little words become sharp
knives that cut and scar people, inflicting pain and self
doubt.

Bullying has become all too common in this day and time,
both with young people and adults.  The purpose of
language is to build bridges of understanding and
communication between people, not to divide and hurt. We
have to impart this wisdom, particularly on our young
people.  Think about the words YOU use. After all, God
used a Word....that word was Jesus...who came to build a
bridge to humanity.
