JIM CAIN

Good Morning! Several years ago a friend of mine was called to the hospital

to identify the body of his brother, who had been killed. This death was just
another in a line of violent behaviors that had plagued his family for years.

My friend remembers standing near the remains of his brother
and making the resolution:” it stops with me.”

We all can call on this resolve. Our family history may have some tragic
chapters, but our history doesn’t have to be our future. Talk about it. Bring
it out in the open. Revealing leads to healing. Don’t just pray, “Father, help
me forgive, but give God the details.

What I am suggesting is difficult I know, but give God the details and allow
Him to work. You’ll be surprised at how drastically things can change.
When we’re in a tough situation, we shouldn’t try to endure it or face it

alone. One of the benefits of being in the Family of God is the support we

can offer to one another concerning the problems we face. “Bear one

another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ".  Galatians 6:2
