DENNIS

Happy Memorial Day! Today is a good time to reflect on the sacrifices and

services of all past and present American military men and women. Our

military has always recruited the best young men and women in the US, and

we should always shower them with appreciation, support, and prayers.

Memorial Day is an opportunity for us to express the special place they have

in the hearts of American citizens and it gives us a chance to honor the

people who work in the various branches of the military.

The horrific

tragedy of September 11, 2001, stirred and reawakened the spirit of

patriotism. The words 'United We Stand' and 'God Bless America' still hold

the power to stir out hearts on this very special day. Let the feelings of true

patriotism and love for all those who have risked their lives for the sake of

America be shown. Demonstrate your support by putting up American flags

in front of your homes, and tell a person in uniform or a veteran, “Thank

you for your service.”

I am Dennis Gossett for Central United Methodist Church saying, “Thank

You.”
